You will design and deliver analytics solutions that provide critical insights into our revenue, customer trends, and financial performance. This role blends hands-on technical work with strategic leadership – you’ll work closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to translate data into actionable recommendations.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Analytics Strategy & Execution: Operationalising customer and business insights to drive decisions, targets and measure success metrics aligned with company goals. Develop and maintain our ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) and associated data models in Data Warehouse and Looker.
  • Data Insights & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into sales funnels, customer behavior, and financial metrics. Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product and other teams to define key metrics and support strategic initiatives with data-backed analysis. Ensure alignment on data definitions and provide thought leadership in how data can drive growth and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Partner and contribute with cross-functional data team/ contributors, promoting best practices in data quality, BI tooling, and analytical methodologies. Foster a data-driven culture where teams rely on accurate data for decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Own the integrity and reliability of commercial data. Work on improving data pipelines and processes in collaboration with our Data Engineering team to enhance the speed and accuracy of reporting and insights.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in data & analytics (finance focus): Proven background (e.g. 7+ years) in business intelligence, data analytics or related field, with significant experience in financial or commercial analytics.
  • Technical expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization/BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau or Power BI) to create insightful dashboards. Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and reporting platforms. Experience with data modelling, both with modelling techniques and technical tooling (e.g. dbt, LookML)
  • Business acumen: Deep understanding of SaaS/business metrics and financial reporting. Able to translate complex data into clear business implications, especially around revenue, customer acquisition, churn, and other commercial KPIs.
Leadership & communication: Demonstrated ability to lead projects or teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Excellent communication skills are essential – you can convey analytical findings to non-technical audiences and influence strategic decisions.
  • Agility and problem-solving: Thrives in a fast-paced, scale-up environment. Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a track record of implementing process improvements and driving insights that impact company performance. (Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data, Finance, or related field preferred.)

Within your first year, you will have established a reliable single source of truth for key revenue and customer metrics, enabling leadership to make informed strategic decisions with confidence. Your dashboards and analyses will be routinely used to identify growth opportunities and guide planning. Key stakeholders will view you as a trusted advisor, thanks to the actionable insights you deliver and the improvements you’ve implemented in data quality and reporting efficiency. Ultimately, your work will directly contribute to revenue growth, operational efficiency, and a stronger data-driven culture at Ignition, validating the critical impact of this role.
