Your Mission

Reporting to the VP Customer Experience, as FAS Manager you will be responsible for leading a global team of Field Application Specialists (FAS) dedicated to Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies. You will ensure technical support for our clients, optimize wet lab processes, and resolve complex field-based issues.

The value you bring

  • Manage and oversee a global team of FAS specializing in NGS, ensuring the achievement of technical and commercial objectives. 
  • Provide advanced technical support to clients, including troubleshooting and optimizationimplementation of experimental protocols. 
  • Collaborate closely with sales and Product Management teams to identify customer needs.  
  • Actively participate in deployment, validation, and training phases at client sites to guarantee high satisfaction levels. 
  • Analyze team performance, monitor KPIs, and implement continuous improvement plans. 

Requirements

We know that every background is different, but to be best set for success we see you bringing:

  • Proven experience (at least 5 years) in a laboratory setting (wet lab) working with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a technical team (FAS, technical support, or laboratory team). 
  • Expertise in NGS experimental protocols (library preparation and targeted enrichment by capture, sequencing, data analysis). 
  • Experience with liquid handler robotics (Hamilton, Beckman etc) is highly advantageous
  • Previous exposure to a commercialised environment, with a track record of providing support to customers or enabling commercial objectives
  • Managing a global field team will involve travel.
