We’re seeking an AI/Data Program Operations Manager to lead strategic initiatives for one of our largest private equity clients, where AI and data automation are at the core. This high-visibility role will allow you to manage both internal teams and vendor relationships while influencing key deliverables and outcomes. 

As the AI/Data Program Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the execution of a data-driven program, ensuring seamless coordination of AI projects, data workflows, and automation pipelines. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the direction of the project, driving automation and operational excellence, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of data processes that align with evolving client needs. 

What You'll Do: 

Internal Team & Project Management: 

  • Process Improvement & Automation: Lead the transition from manual and vendor-driven workflows to scalable, automated solutions, driving long-term efficiency and quality. 
  • Leadership & Alignment: Facilitate daily standups and sprint planning to ensure synchronization across technical and operational teams. 
  • Project Tracking: Use Jira and related tools to manage project milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. 
  • Progress Oversight: Monitor KPIs and team output to ensure progress toward weekly, quarterly, and strategic goals. 
  • Data Operations Oversight: Provide operational oversight across AI/ML data workflows, including annotation, QA, and automation pipelines. 
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare weekly executive-level reports and presentations outlining progress, risk areas, and key decisions. 

Vendor & Technical Partner Management: 

  • Vendor Evaluation: Lead vendor selection and onboarding for annotation services, AI tooling, and pipeline infrastructure providers. 
  • Contract Oversight: Negotiate and enforce vendor contracts, ensuring alignment with technical delivery expectations and budget. 
  • Service Performance: Monitor vendor SLAs, drive performance reviews, and escalate blockers as needed. 
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that annotated data and technical outputs meet internal and client-defined quality standards. 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Experience: 5+ years in project management roles involving technical data consulting and automation delivery; strong familiarity with AI/ML workflows 
  • Data & Automation Acumen: Hands-on experience managing data pipelines, ETL workflows, or supporting AI/ML projects in production environments. 
  • Technical Familiarity: Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and cloud-based data systems; ability to engage meaningfully with technical team members and data engineers. 
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical and operations teams in high-stakes environments. 
  • Vendor Expertise: Demonstrated success managing third-party data or AI vendors with clear performance accountability. 
  • Communication: Clear, concise communicator with the ability to translate complex updates into business-impact presentations. 
  • Client-Centric Mindset: Strong commitment to meeting client objectives, with a balance of strategic thinking and operational precision. 
  • Emotional Resilience: Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and high expectations under pressure.
