Contribute to project science in area of expertise. Develop productive collaborations and communications with other groups across science disciplines. We are looking for a Sr. Scientist with a molecular biology background to join our peptide display hit generation team. This role is responsible for developing methods and processes to scale molecular biology workflows for peptide display selection (mRNA and/or Phage-Display) to many targets and screening conditions by utilizing molecular barcoding strategies, laboratory automation, and other relevant technologies. This role will also utilize our proprietary peptide microarray platform to aid in accelerating hit identification from peptide display selections.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead application of existing mRNA-Display workflows to multiple targets and screening conditions. Includes generation of peptide mRNA-Display libraries, designing and carrying out selections against therapeutic targets under multiple conditions, preparing next-generation sequencing libraries, and analyzing the resulting data.
  • Lead development of processes and methods to improve efficiency in application of peptide mRNA-Display workflows to multiple targets and screening conditions. Includes utilization of molecular barcoding strategies, laboratory automation, and other relevant technologies.
  • Utilize proprietary data analysis tools to organize data from multiple peptide mRNA-Display screens and analyze multiple datasets to identify pharmaceutically relevant hits.
  • Routinely demonstrate scientific initiative and creativity in research or development activities.
  • Highly autonomous and productive in performing laboratory research or method development, requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor.
  • Formulate conclusions and design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data.
  • May initiate new areas of investigation that are scientifically meaningful, reliable, and can be incorporated directly into a research or development program.
