Objectives of the Position

 

DevHub is a cloud-based developer platform designed to streamline developers' work at BASF, providing essential tools and resources to ensure customer satisfaction. From infrastructure to developer tooling and security, the platform offers a feature-rich DevOps / MLOps experience. As a UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience and ensuring that our platform is user-friendly, intuitive, and meets the needs of our users.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented UX Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing user interfaces and experiences across our platform. You will work closely with our development and product teams to create high-quality, user-centric designs.

 

 

Main Tasks

 

·        User Research: Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Use these insights to inform design decisions.

·        Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate design concepts and user flows.

·        User Experience Enhancement: Design intuitive and responsive user interfaces to enhance the overall user experience on the platform.

·        Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design solutions are feasible and aligned with project goals.

·        Usability Testing: Conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on designs.

·        Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across the platform.

·        Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of internal design processes and best practices.

 

 

Requirements

 

Education

·        Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.

 

Working Experience

·        Minimum of 4 years of experience as a UX Designer or similar role.

·        Experience of working in cross-functional teams.

·        Proven track record of designing user-centric digital products.

 

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Mandatory)

·        User Research: Proficiency in conducting user research and usability testing.

·        Design Tools: Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.

·        Wireframing and Prototyping: Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.

·        User-Centered Design: Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

·        Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments. Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, including Scrum or Kanban.

·        Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to achieve project goals.

·        Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capacity to troubleshoot complex design issues and provide innovative solutions.

·        Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Eagerness to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

 

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Additional Plus/Nice to have skills)

·        Certifications: Relevant certifications in UX Design or related fields are a plus.

·        Front-End Technologies: Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

·        Prototyping Tools: Experience with advanced prototyping tools and techniques.

·        Accessibility: Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design.

·        Analytics: Experience with analytics to gather and analyze user data.
