📝 The Role

To achieve our ambitions, we’re looking to hire a Data Product Manager to support and drive our client focus.

Intuita is looking for a Data Product Manager to join our Consultancy team.   
The aim of this role is be at the forefront of aiding our clients build out their data strategy, ensuring their products are innovative, valuable, and aligned to their individual mission & vison to change business outcomes through better data management & analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passion data driven product owner to come in an make their mark within an established team of consultants, who are passionate about data and the power of data for our clients.

As the Data Product Manager, you'll play a crucial role in managing the relationship between our clients, stakeholders, technical teams and business sponsors ensuring that our client’s needs for data products are understood and met.

You'll define and own the product roadmap, aligning it with strategic goals and ensuring development roadmaps are business-led and future-proofed. You'll act as the go-to person for product support, queries, and questions, partnering with stakeholders to understand needs and prioritise technical requirements. Your role will involve collating, prioritising, and accepting work from business and technical teams, developing and maintaining a prioritised backlog of user stories for implementation, and coordinating sprint content into planned releases.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the development and release of functionality, ensuring projects deliver agreed business objectives and technology benefits. You'll identify user needs, help clients understand real business value, and possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end data integration and dependencies.

We're seeking a qualified professional with experience working as a Data Product Owner or Manager. You should have a strong data background with broad experience across Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Strategy, and Data Migration. Experience working with Data Engineers, Data Visualisation Developers, Data Business Analysts, Architects and Data Modellers is essential.

You should have demonstrable experience of stakeholder management at a senior level along with excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Within the scope of this role you can expect to:

·       Aid / working with our clients to develop and articulate a clear & compelling vision

·       Manage roadmaps for our clients and projects, aligned with overall business objectives focussing on the quality of delivery.

·       Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, gather requirements, and ensure alignment on priorities.

·       Develop and maintain a product roadmap based on the strategic direction and planned evolution of the data products or project

·       Be able to triangulate many requirements, business problems, technical complexities and work with the business stakeholder / delivery lead to bring these to life

·       Use a Data-led approach to measuring team velocity, efficiency and burn down

·       Ability to conceptually strategise opportunities for a client, by discovering, investigating, and analysing their data

·       Apply a product mindset to data solutions, projects or services – focussing on needs of the user and delivering value

🛠️ As a Data Product Manager, you’ll share these values but also bring your own personality and approach to the role. We’re looking for someone who will be working hands-on, client facing with the following experience and qualities.

·       A strong understanding of business needs and the ability to advocate for solutions which maximise the use of data

·       Experience with digital or data initiatives as a Product Owner seeing the full product lifecycle through, from a first idea to post launch improvements

·       Familiarity with data practices including data architecture, data engineering, data analytics, data modelling, data visualisation and data governance. You will have the technical depth to be able to challenge solutions in a number of these disciplines and consider yourself fluent in data

·       Possess hands on experience with SQL and the ability to create your own basic analysis or investigations when required

·       Experienced at using a product owners toolstack – backlog management, project management, product road-mapping, design prototyping

·       Crucially, you will have a passion for data! Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling will be advantageous

  • Collaborative team focus, working with stakeholders and development teams to ensure user needs are met
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to quickly understand client context and demonstrate expertise in their business

·       Curious as to a clients challenges and adept at illustrating or explaining how data can be used to meet that challenge
