Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau Server and related components.
  
• Manage server performance, security, and scalability to ensure optimal uptime and responsiveness.
  
• Perform regular backups, upgrades, and maintenance of the Tableau environment
  
• Manage Tableau users, groups, and permissions.
  
• Enforce governance policies to maintain data security and compliance.
  
• Monitor user activity and audit access logs to ensure compliance.
  
• Troubleshoot performance issues and fine-tune Tableau dashboards and reports.
  
• Optimize server configurations and resources to handle concurrent usage and large datasets.
  
• Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and end-users to understand requirements and ensure proper delivery of reports and dashboards.
  
• Provide training and support to Tableau users on best practices and advanced functionalities.
  
• Set up monitoring tools to track server health, utilization, and potential bottlenecks.
  
• Generate and present reports on Tableau performance metrics and usage statistics.
  
• Assist in the development and deployment of complex dashboards and data visualizations.
  
• Provide guidance on Tableau development standards, including efficient data modeling and design.
  
  Experience:
  
• 6+ years of experience in Tableau Server administration.
  
• Hands-on experience in managing Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server environments.
  
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  
  Technical Skills:
  
• Proficient in Tableau Server architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  
• Strong knowledge of data sources, data integration, and SQL.
  
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  
• Understanding of networking, authentication protocols (SSO, LDAP), and security standards.
