What you’ll do ​& Who you are

As part of its development, L'Argus is looking for a Valuation Expert specialized in Data and Research to join its team under the supervision of a valuation expert manager.

As an expert, you will be at the heart of the valuation process, contributing your technical skills and business expertise to support the team in its strategic missions. 

This position represents a real opportunity to participate in the growth of a key reference in the field of valuation and the automotive market.

Market Research 80% of the time

Drafting 40% of reports

-Layout and preparation of study templates (new argus visual identity, adaptation of graphics to the study, selection of product images)

-Drafting of “equipment” sections in studies, equipment comparisons and highlighting the advantages/weaknesses of the product studied vs. the competition.

-Also writes price positioning pages and appropriate analysis for studies.

-Contributes progressively to the “Recommendations” section (knowledge of the market, current brands and ranges, segmentations, energy trends, etc.).

-There will be a gradual increase in the other themes of these studies (RV positioning, constructive comments on the +/- of the vehicles studied and the immediate impact on RVs, etc.) as the expert's skills grow.

40% technical part

-Data import and organization 

-Stats processing according to studies (qualitative filtering using available tools, monthly Excel TCD, creation of necessary baskets)

-Drafting of stats (once filtered) with comments 

-Structuring of data into tables suitable for analysis (consistent formats for dates, figures, text)

-Breakdown analysis using pivot tables or histograms

-Creation of advanced graphs, combined graphs (e.g. superimposed histograms and curves), creation of data bars, color scales or icons to visualize trends

Valorization section 15%

-Participation in VR workshops (in groups during our internal committees, but also occasionally product discovery on local Event, accompanied by a Senior Expert, after validation by the Expert Manager).

-Participation in VO/VR commissions (+ preparation with extraction and sorting tools, if necessary) with all experts on various brands, to learn the ins and outs of the business (under the supervision of the Expert Manager).

Punctual 5% part

-Participates in the development and implementation of seasonal or one-off studies such as the “Energy Barometer”.

-The role and requirements evolve rapidly, so it is possible to adapt to future needs that have not yet been fully identified.

Knowledge of necessary tools :

-Use of Excel tools such as SUM, AVERAGE, MEDIANE, ECARTYPE, and VAR.P

-Use of Find & Replace functions to standardize values

-Create calculated columns with formulas such as IF, LEFT, RIGHT, TEXT or SUBSTITUTE

-Create pivot tables 

-Import data from various sources (CSV, SQL, API)

-Use of Google/Office suites to study and process data

General knowledge :

-Good understanding/knowledge of today's automotive world

-Interest in its evolution and future trends

-Comprehensive knowledge of the French automotive market

-Fluent English (80% of studies written in English)
