We are the newly established Data Platform Services team within Telia Technology Analytics Platforms unit. Our mission is to deliver top-tier, purpose-built, and value-driven capabilities in Data and AI to Telia. We believe that enhancing analytical capabilities is crucial for boosting Telia’s operational efficiency, improving our product offerings, and elevating customer experience. To accomplish this, we provide a unified set of tools designed to meet the needs of every country.

My name is Mikko Olin, Head of Data Platform Services, and I am seeking team members who are enthusiastic about collaborating closely with our on-premises open-source data Lakehouse, Arcus, in Sweden. Arcus is our next-generation analytics platform, enabling in-country analytics with Lakehouse capabilities. It is built entirely on open-source technology with dedicated hardware and extensive GPU computing power. Our latest iteration supports near real-time use cases, ML Ops, relational databases (Postgres), and GenAI.

You excel at analyzing complex problems, articulating suggested solutions, developing them, and collaborating with colleagues when needed. You take ownership of your responsibilities and are an excellent communicator.

Your personality:

• Team player
• Self-motivated with learning mindset
• Understand business value and demonstrate it in implemented solutions
• Good storytelling skills

We would like you to have experience from some of the below:

• Python
• Managing Kubernetes deployments and infrastructure
• Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Airflow and Trino
• IAC using Helm and Ansible
• Setting up CI/CD pipelines
• GitHub & GitHub Actions

Bonus if you also have experience from:

• Setting up data analytics platforms using cloud native components in Kubernetes
• Nvidia AI stack
• DBT (data build tool)
• Data warehouse & analytics background
