Role Description:

The DataScope suite of applications is part of our Pricing and Reference Service business. It is a respected application used in the wider finance industry where clients can do downloads of Pricing and Reference data in customized and standardized reports. The applications have ~4000 external clients who consume financial data to analyse funds and the market position of global industry players.

In this role, you will be joining Data Platforms as a Senior Business Analyst; serving the entire spectrum of data needs for our clients.

Working within the engineering team to bring together and analyse business requirements from Product Owners and transform these into firm requirements that can be delivered to enhance our products..

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborator Engagement

Act as a liaison between business partners and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of business requirements.

Facilitate meetings and workshops to capture and detail business requirements.

Data Analysis and Management

Conduct in-depth data analysis to support business decisions and strategies.

Lead and maintain data integrity and quality within DataScope Plus.

Develop and implement data management processes and policies

Collaborate with multi-functional teams including IT, marketing, and customer service to ensure project success.

Technical Expertise

Use advanced analytics and data visualization tools to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.

Ensure the scalability and performance of DataScope Plus by implementing technical improvements and updates

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure that data management practices follow relevant regulations such as MiFID II, EU Benchmarks regulation, SFTR, FRTB, and LIBOR transition


Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

Business skills

Extensive experience in data analysis, data management, and business analysis within financial markets. Must have experience in developing requirements in a high data volume, low latency environment.

Able to take high-level business requirements and ascertain all requirements, breaking these into stories with defined acceptance criteria for the engineering teams.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Superb communication and social skills.

Ability to work closely in a team environment and lead multiple collaborators.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, or similar.

Regulatory Knowledge

Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to data management

Preferred Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor's or equivalent experience or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or similar.

Relevant certifications such as Cloud Fundamentals (Azure, AWS, or similar)

Industry Knowledge:

Experience working with enterprise data management solutions, sell-side banks, hedge funds, or trading firm
