 Humana is seeking a Senior Data and Reporting Professional for the HealthCare Economics (HCE) department. HCE owns all modeling, valuations, and reporting of enterprise efforts to reduce Medicare Advantage claims costs through improved member health outcomes. In this role you will run the current monthly savings allocation process in SAS and assist teammates in troubleshooting SAS issues with their savings allocations. You will also develop an understanding of the underlying data and the existing process to prepare for eventually leading to the development of a new monthly savings allocation process in Databricks. The incumbent will also be key in growing and centralizing our reporting via Power BI reports and other mediums as appropriate.

The Senior Data and Reporting Professional integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data tables and elements. Builds, programs and maintain new Databricks savings allocation process, report forms, Power BI dashboards, and other resources as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  •  Maintaining the current SAS monthly savings allocation process and aid analysts with troubleshooting

  • Direct ownership and building of a new monthly savings allocation process in Databricks

  • Respond to the ever-changing landscape of reporting needs and ad hoc requests

  • Expand and centralize department reporting for business partners, utilizing Power BI and other tools

  • Collaborating with business partners regarding data inputs for and deliverables from the department

  • Ideal candidate will be able to come to the Humana Tower office in Louisville KY once or twice per month**

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 or more years of experience in data reporting and analysis

  • Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Databricks and/or other data systems

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data manipulation techniques which include the ability to link to external data sources, pass-through queries, data structure and relationship design

  • Experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of healthcare data

  • Experience with tools, such as Power BI, for creating data visualizations

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$73,400 - $100,100 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
