Mission

As a Data Science Intern, you will collaborate with our team on ongoing projects, gaining practical, hands-on experience in the field of data science. Working alongside experienced team members, you will contribute to various stages of the data science workflow.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assist in data collection and cleaning. Help gather and prepare structured data from internal sources to answer business requirements.
• Explore and examine data from company databases to identify trends, hidden patterns, correlations that may inform business decisions to drive optimization and improvement of product development and business strategies.
• Help in building or updating internal reports to visualize results for technical and non-technical audiences. Break down complex information and translate data insights into clear, simple language to effectively communicate key findings.
• Write a clean, well-documented code and contribute to building reusable scripts and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Identify the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Maintain data privacy and security policies, procedures and systems. Maintain consistent adherence to ethical standards.
• Work with guidance (but not constant supervision) with an assigned buddy and collaborate with data scientists across the team.
• Participate in team meetings. Join regular team stand-ups, knowledge-sharing sessions, and code reviews to understand project workflows and agile methodologies.
• Document work clearly. Keep well-organized notes and documentation for code and insights gained during the internship.
• Actively engage with the team, propose ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and take initiative to grow your skills and understanding of the field.
• Share your own academic or technical insights and contribute to a learning-friendly team culture.
