What will you be doing?
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Master Data Management Analyst to join our dynamic and fast-paced Data Team at Babble. This position plays a crucial role in executing our ambitious data strategy. The purpose of this role is to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of our master data. This role will be responsible for supporting the Data Governance Manager in generating and managing our single sources of truth for customer, contact, product, and supplier business entities, emphasising the importance of having one trusted source for all Babble employees to rely on for decision making.
Accountabilities and Deliverables:
- Enforce master data management policies, standards, metrics and processes to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity using Informatica MDM across various data sources and platforms, including source systems, the data lakehouse platform, Snowflake.
- Utilise Informatica tools to profile, query, integrate, and master data from various data sources, maintaining single sources of truth and ensuring seamless data flow and synchronisation across the organisation.
- Replicate current master data processes in Informatica across other core master entities such as product, and supplier. This includes master data model development, data ingestion, building and testing data matching and survivorship, write back’s to systems, and export of golden records to data lakehouse.
- Perform comprehensive analysis of master data to identify master data issues, determine root causes and support the development of effective solutions.
- Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and business stakeholders to ensure master data governance policies are understood and adhered to.
- Work with the Data Quality Analyst to design and execute master data quality assessments and audits to monitor and improve master data quality.
- Manage reference data sets to enrich master data, ensuring automated flows and accurate data.
- Develop automated master data management reporting, creating clear and actionable reports for business stakeholders and members of the data ownership model.
- Work closely with data engineers and business intelligence teams to ensure master data meets their requirements, is used and understood correctly.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of master data management processes and findings. Provide regular updates and reports on master data metrics and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
Core Competencies:
- Proven experience as a Master Data Management Analyst or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Experience with Informatica for Master Data Management, ETL, and data quality management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Prepared to take ownership of a task and see it through to the end

- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders across functions and explain Master Data terms to non-data experts.
- Familiarity with Snowflake is a plus.
- Prior experience with other Master Data Management tools and technologies.
- Prior experience with data quality tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of data governance and data stewardship principles.
- Experience of data engineering and business intelligence principles.
- Certifications in SQL, Informatica or relevant master data and data management fields.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully navigating and managing change within an organisation.
- Displays a genuine interest in working within a newly established team, helping to introduce new working practices and principles.
- Experience working in Agile Frameworks, and familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps principles.
Qualifications
- Holds an Informatica Qualification (or other MDM tool)
- 3-5 years experience required in Master Data Management & Data Management
