The Data Architect is tasked with developing, implementing, and maintaining data governance policies and procedures across the ERP environment. This includes defining data ownership roles, creating metadata documentation, developing data quality metrics, and ensuring that Navy and DoD standards for master data are consistently applied across systems. The individual works closely with strategy teams, E2E IPTs, and stakeholders to enable trusted data usage and enhance auditability. Serves as a leader in Financial Improvement Coordination, ensuring that groups of professionals are working successfully within the context of complex business environments. Develops business cases, requirements, studies and scope solutions. Identifies gaps and shortcomings in solutions and determines ways forward and/or workarounds to the solutions proposed. Leads process modeling and translates requirements into design. Leads the formulation and implementation of strategic plans. Coordinates with the client at the SES level and above.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
  • Experience with metadata management and master data management (MDM) tools
  • Ability to lead data stewardship efforts and resolve data ownership conflicts
  • Proven ability to document and enforce data policies and standards
  • Experience tracking data lineage and data lifecycle management
  • 9 years of related experience
  • Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with DoD and Navy data governance standards
  • Knowledge of FISMA, NIST, and other federal data compliance frameworks
  • Prior experience managing master data for SAP ECC or S/4 HANA
  • Understanding of business glossaries and semantic layer definitions
At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.  We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
