Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Snowflake, Matillion, and Fivetran to lead the design and implementation of data solutions tailored to the life sciences sector. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making by architecting scalable data pipelines and deploying AI models that align with the unique regulatory and operational needs of pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing and data center clients..
Reports to:  Director, Information Technology
Key Responsibilities:1. Solution Design & Architecture•Design and architect scalable, secure, and compliant data platforms leveraging Snowflake for data warehousing, Fivetran for ingestion, and Matillion for transformation.•Develop AI/ML workflows integrated into broader enterprise data strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives in life sciences (e.g., clinical trial data, R&D pipelines, patient data analysis).•Lead the evaluation and selection of tools, platforms, and technologies to support AI-driven data solutions.2. Data Integration & Pipeline Management•Develop and maintain robust ELT/ETL processes to support ingestion and transformation of structured and unstructured life sciences data.•Integrate diverse data sources including EHRs, lab systems, clinical databases, and external APIs using Fivetran connectors.•Ensure data governance, lineage, and quality compliance across the data lifecycle.3. AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement•Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to implement AI solutions, including predictive modeling, natural language processing, and generative AI use cases in drug development, diagnostics, and market access.•Support model deployment, MLOps, and continuous monitoring in production environments.4. Stakeholder Collaboration•Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.•Present architecture diagrams, project roadmaps, and prototypes to business and technical audiences.5. Compliance & Security•Ensure all architectures comply with relevant life sciences regulations (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, GDPR).•Implement security best practices for data privacy, encryption, and access control.
Qualifications and Experience:Education:  Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.•5+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering roles.•Proven expertise with Snowflake, Fivetran, and Matillion.•Hands-on experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions in production.•Deep understanding of life sciences data structures, industry challenges, and regulatory requirements.•Experience training Computer Vision / Image Segmentation / Classification Models•Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) in particular building Retrieval •Augmented Generation (RAG), Symantec Embedding (ex. BERT)
