Senior Tableau Developer (Require Secret clearance to start)

Description

Job Title: Sr. Tableau Developer
Location: 100% Remote work
Client: IBM- LDAC- US Army
Clearance: Active Secret

1. Tableau Desktop

• Proficient in creating advanced dashboards and worksheets
• Strong knowledge of filters, parameters, calculated fields, sets, and groups
• Experience with dashboard actions, dynamic visualizations, and interactivity

2. Tableau Server

• Experience in publishing dashboards
• Knowledge of user permission settings
• Ability to manage data sources and schedule subscriptions
• Knowledge of REST API

3. Data Preparation and Transformation

• Skilled in using Tableau Prep or other ETL tools
• Ability to blend and join data from multiple sources
• Experience in data cleansing and formatting
• Knowledge of Tableau Python Hyper API

4. SQL (Structured Query Language)

• Ability to write complex queries and joins
• Experience with views and stored procedures
• Understanding of performance tuning and query optimization

5. Database Technologies

• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and      Oracle
• Familiarity with cloud-based databases such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift

Analytical and Reporting Skills

1. Data Analysis and Business Intelligence

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Skilled in creating key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking metrics

2.  Data Visualization Principles

• Knowledge of best practices in dashboard design
• Ability to select appropriate chart types and layouts

3. Data Storytelling

• Ability to present data in a meaningful and engaging way
• Skilled in designing dashboards that support business decisions

Soft Skills and Collaboration

1.  Communication

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

2.  Requirement Gathering

• Experience working with business users to understand reporting needs
• Ability to document requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Additional Skills

1. Scripting or Programming (optional but beneficial)

• Exposure to Python or R for data processing or statistical analysis

2. Excel

• Strong skills in pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation
