We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Data & AI Architect to lead the design and evolution of our Data Marketplace. If you’re passionate about data architecture, governance, and enabling scalable analytics across a global enterprise, this is your chance to make a real impact.

What you will do

As a Data & AI Architect for the Data Marketplace, you will:

• Define and lead the architecture vision for our Data Marketplace, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, privacy, and business needs.
• Shape the future of data sharing and analytics at Brenntag by designing scalable, governed, and high-quality data & ai solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, solution architects, and business stakeholders to guide data initiatives across the Data & Analytics (D&A) domain.
• Model and map enterprise-wide data flows, metadata, and subject areas to support transparency and trust in data.
• Drive adoption of architecture principles and best practices across teams, ensuring consistency and alignment with our future-state vision.
• Assess impact of architectural decisions on people, processes, and platforms— helping shape the organization’s data culture.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a forward-thinking architect with a passion for data innovation:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect in international, enterprise-scale environments.
• Deep knowledge of data architecture frameworks (e.g., DMBOK, TOGAF), data mesh principles, and analytics platforms.
• Hands-on experience with: Databricks, DBT, Power BI
• Data Catalogs (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Atlan)
• Data Quality tools
• SAP
• Strong communication skills in English—able to engage both technical and business audiences.
• Experience facilitating workshops and aligning diverse stakeholders.
• A proactive, adaptable mindset with a drive to innovate and lead.
• Bonus: Experience with AWS, Supply Chain, or Commercial domains.
