The Opportunity:
As a Solution Architect, you will possess a leverage in-depth, cross-domain, knowledge expertise in business applications, platforms, capabilities and, and processes, enabling you to design, implement and contribute innovative solutions that optimize  DigitalX and the Astellas technology architecture landscape.
You will be at the forefront of implementing innovative solutions and will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in your field.

Key Activities:

• Architecture Vision and Roadmap: Lead and own a domain strategic blueprint to ensure solutions are based on strategic integrated capabilities with a forward view of maturity aligned to business objectives
• Solution Design and Development: Design comprehensive application solutions that address business needs and challenges. This involves creating architectural designs that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Initiatives & CI/CD Oversight: Provide technical leadership throughout the development life cycle, from initial concept through to implementation and support. Guide development teams to ensure adherence to architectural designs and best practices.
• Integration Architecture: Design and oversee the integration of new applications with existing systems and software, ensuring seamless operation and data consistency across the enterprise.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation for application architectures, including design specifications, integration patterns, and deployment guidelines.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

• Substantial years of demonstrated relevant experience in Pharma R&D Space (Clinical operations preferred) developing, integrating and architecting digital and AI solutions in the pharmaceutical / life sciences sector.
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in specific area of digital capability (Veeva R&D Vault).
• Experience with Veeva configuration and implementation.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong background in software development with expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Python), databases/data lakes, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of agile architectural principles, frameworks and design patterns, microservices, API design, and development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
• Demonstrable experience implementing Cloud agnostic AIOps platforms and architectures (Databricks, Valohai) that foster transparency and observability of AI models and systems.

Preferred Experience:

• Life Sciences / Pharma industry experience.
• Agile Champion: Adherence to DevOps principles and a proven track record with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery. Demonstrable experience implementing Cloud agnostic data and AIOps platforms and architectures (Databricks, Snowflake) that foster transparency and observability of AI models and systems.
• Experience in leading life sciences platforms such as Veeva, and in enterprise platforms such as Adobe, SAP, M365 and ServiceNow.
• Experience in Data Mesh strategy implementation would be useful.
• Direct experience implementing/consulting on known Life Sciences technologies.

Education/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Data Science. Marketing. or equivalent.

Additional information:

• This is a permanent role based in Poland. Role requires a blend of home and minimum once a quarter in our Poland office. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
