Your team

You will be part of the Empirical Scientific Approaches (ESA) team in Hyderabad. We are a team with global reach, bringing hypothesis-driven empirical methods and enterprise statistical computing practices to sell-side equity research. We work by establishing deep collaborative partnerships with fundamental stock analysts in one of the leading investment research departments in the world. This is an opportunity to play an important role in establishing the next frontier of sell-side equity research, by being part of the key collaboration function within this team.

Your expertise

You Have:
•2-5 years’ experience using hypothesis driven empirical research to drive business decisions, ideally within a financial services organization
•significant experience or formal training in statistical computing. Using Python as the primary coding language would be a major plus.
•track record of managing processes that balance demands of multiple stakeholders
•track record of collaborating and communicating across the disciplinary boundaries of social science, statistics, and stock analysis
•university degree, preferably in a data analysis related field e.g. statistics, quantitative, financial analysis, mathematics , degree in an empirical social science like economics, sociology, political science, demography, population health, public policy or related field would be a major plus.
•experience in using Microsoft Excel
•finance industry-related certifications (such as CFA, CQF) would be a plus.
•fluency with major financial data sources (Bloomberg, FactSet, Haver, etc) would be a plus
•an analytical mindset and a sharp eye for detail.
•excellent organizational, presentation and time management skills
•ability to communicate with diverse audiences ranging from highly technical colleagues to senior stakeholders
•the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.
•proficiency in Excel.
•experience in financial services and preferably in equity research is a plus
