Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Argos Data Customer Integration team in Belgrade. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Intellectual Property Management Application. The team consists of 5 members and is reporting to the DCI Team Lead. We have well rounded team skilled in data engineering, data analysis, and reporting; we would love to speak with you if you have skills in SQL and reporting.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of experience with SQL preferable in MSSQL

• 2+ years of experience with reporting solutions, preferably SSRS

• Minimum 1 year of experience with a scripting language,   preferably (Iron) Python

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Experience working in agile practices and particularly DevOps are beneficial.

• Experience developing scripts in SSIS or Azure Data Factory

• Experience with Power BI

• Experience with XML and JSON

• We are an intellectual property company, prior experience with Patents or Trademarks would be helpful.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Support business-take on and customer support activities for client data integration

• Efficiently handle data changes requests (Create, update, Delete) on demand basis

• Develop import and export interfaces (proprietary ETL-solution)

• Support operational users and customer service teams with requests of such interfaces

• Develop SSRS-based reports, both for internal as well as external use

• Support internal departments with ad-hoc reporting

Product you will be developing

The role will enable you to participate in the Argos Application Data and Reporting support. This includes data Operation (DML), reporting requests, including development, maintenance and implementation. You will help to develop sql scripts to process large amounts of data of an enterprise application as well as develop and maintain import and export interfaces.

About the Team 

As we are scattered all over the globe, and VC only gets us so far, there may be a need for you to travel for workshops and meetings, predominantly within Europe, but potentially farther afield.

Hours of work

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within CET time zone. This is a hybrid position, you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
