Essential Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional team made up of engineers, marketing, product definition, and chief engineers to define system requirements for new products and technology roadmaps.
- Working across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement technology solutions on new product introductions.
- Using broad technical expertise and experience to help resolve complex design issues with current products.
- Providing domain expertise to own/lead technical design reviews, investigation of technical risks, as well as providing innovative solutions to achieve optimal system performance.
- Developing methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on system performance and image/signal quality.
- Investigating customer questions and complaints to provide technical answers and solutions.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics, Medical Physics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a closely related field.
- Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems through strong understanding of mathematics, physics and image/signal processing fundamentals.
- Effective communication skills – ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Desired Characteristics
- Ph.D. Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics, Medical Physics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a closely related field.
- Experience of X-ray or CT physics or technology development.
- Relevant academic or industry experience.
- Proficient in the use of software tools for analysis, modeling and simulations, for instance, Matlab, Python, and C++.
- Experience with research collaborations.
- Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment.
- Excellent influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives.
