Key Responsibilities:

AI Validation

• Model validation with focus on the effective challenge of Generative AI use cases
• Assess technical considerations and perform independent testing to ensure the robustness and adequate performance of the models
• Identify, present and escalate risks in the reviewed models. Engage with the responsible teams to agree on a resolution plan
• Effectively document the model validation (report that details the process and conclusions)
• Build a good report with senior stakeholders from the 1st Line of Defence (model owner, development teams)
• Prepare executive committees and senior leadership presentations that highlight the validation performed and the key risks identified

AI Governance

• Participate at AI Governance forums that approve AIs and provide SME feedback/support from Model Risk perspective
• Upkeep Governance documents such as AI Risk Standard/Framework
• Support Responsible-AI Working Groups’ organization, discussion forums with cross-divisional stakeholders on AI development, governance and validation
• Perform AI Discovery to ensure completeness of the AI list maintained by Model Risk. Review potential AIs and provide good meta-data on each model (such as risk classification)

Qualifications:

• Postgraduate degree (MS/PhD) in STEM subjects, e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or AI/Data Science related fields
• Solid theoretical knowledge on different types of Predictive and Generative AI techniques
• Hands-on experience on developing and validating Generative AI models including data processing, data toxicity, bias and fairness assessments, model selection and performance evaluation
• Strong understanding and participating in the full pipeline development of AI systems ideally
• Demonstrated ability using AI related programming languages, e.g., Python, for modelling and analysis
• Enthusiastic on following the research trends and learning new techniques developed in the AI space
• Capability to establish good priorities, multitasking and working practices in an intensive AI development environment; good communication and writing skills
