About this job
The Financial Services Research Team identifies and delivers timely insights related to publicly traded companies of interest to the investing community. Our products are designed for consumption by the Asset Management industry, which includes Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Pension Funds and Quantitative Funds. We’re a team of data-driven Equity Research Analysts who love turning data into actionable insights and clearly communicating those insights to our sophisticated investing clientele.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing syndicated research reports derived from our numerous, global datasets. You will partner with teams across NielsenIQ to analyze, build, and deliver unique data solutions that provide clarity to the important questions that our Asset Management clients are focused on. Typical projects include identifying and modeling valuable statistical relationships while using various statistical methods. The primary goal is to discover signals within our data to provide insight into company reported key performance indicators.
In addition to being strong analytically and detail oriented, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment, is comfortable communicating these insights directly with clients. This is an individual who can work across the analytics and data stack to solve problems and produce valuable and insightful analyses. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Understand drivers of company performance and marry that understanding with the signals that exist within our e-commerce data set through modelling and statistical analyses
- Develop data-driven syndicated research reports for Asset Management clientele that easily convey the value and unlock insights within our e-commerce data
- Engage with clients to provide a deep dive on the underlying data, derived insights and serve as a resource for clients on the reports that you produce
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Engineering
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SQL, Python, or R
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Strong verbal, presentation, and written skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Desire to learn and continually upgrade skills
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely in oral and written form
- Enthusiasm for working hard and having fun in a dynamic environment
Additional Information
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $55,500.00 - $65,000.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
