Position Summary

The Business Analyst – Media Data Operations is a critical role within Kinesso, responsible for analyzing, documenting, and optimizing media data processes, governance frameworks, and system integrations. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency across Interact and other enterprise data systems. The Business Analyst will play a key role in identifying process improvements, supporting governance initiatives, and driving data-driven decision-making across media operations.

The Business Analyst – Media Data Operations ensures that Kinesso’s data governance, operational processes, and system integrations are executed efficiently and effectively. By providing critical insights, process improvements, and data-driven solutions, this role supports the success of media data operations, enabling scalable growth, compliance, and business transformation.

Responsibilities

Data Governance and Process Optimization

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of media data governance frameworks and master data management (MDM) standards.
  • Analyze media data processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend workflow optimizations to improve data integrity and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry best practices related to data governance and security.

Interact System and Data Management Support

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and optimization of Interact, ensuring data consistency and seamless integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Document best practices for media data entry, maintenance, and validation to drive data accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to troubleshoot data-related issues and enhance system functionalities.

Client Data Operations and Reporting

  • Support the client onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring data governance policies are adhered to.
  • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks that provide insights into data quality, governance compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to media data operations.

Cross-Team Collaboration and Documentation

  • Partner with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Compliance, Client Success) to align data operations with business objectives.
  • Assist in the development of training materials, playbooks, and documentation to improve data literacy and operational consistency.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, translating business needs into actionable data governance initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical and Industry Expertise

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, media data operations, ad tech, or martech.
  • Familiarity with master data management (MDM) frameworks, data governance principles, and media data ecosystems.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on media data governance.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data structures and workflows.
  • Experience in identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending scalable solutions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for data operations.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Compliance, Operations).
  • Highly organized with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data documentation and reporting.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in the media, marketing, or technology sector preferred.

The salary range for this position is posted below.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
