TEAMThe Cloud & AI team is dedicated to empowering Toyota and its affiliates with a robust platform for AI innovation. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, end-to-end machine learning ecosystem that propels the development of groundbreaking projects, such as autonomous driving, within the Toyota Group. As a standardized machine learning platform under Woven by Toyota, we aim to streamline every facet of AI development, from training and inference to MLOps, thereby enhancing the safety, convenience, and autonomy of Toyota vehicles.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We are looking for a technical writer to produce approachable technical documentation. The goal is to enable Toyota employees and partners around the world to easily get started using our tools and infrastructure platform effectively. You will collaborate with our engineers to create customer & technical documentation, assist with program management tasks, and facilitate our Agile process. You will contribute your writing skills, attention to detail, and communication skills in our diverse team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather requirements by speaking with product owners, technical program managers, and engineering team members, and convert these into actionable Jira stories
• Create and publish semi-technical documentation, process documentation, knowledge articles, customer announcements, and other documents that improve our product
• Use GitHub pull requests for new documents and edits, and use automation tools such as Phrase TMS for translation management. You’ll also use “GitHub flavored markdown” to convert and publish documents.
• Ensure all documentation changes are reviewed regularly with product managers and other contributors, so that we can ensure a customer-centric approach when working with our customers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree
• 2+ years of experience creating technical documentation for software products, business analysis for software development, or IT-related areas
• Experience using GitHub, Jira, Confluence, mkdocs, etc.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English, with knowledge of Japanese language being an advantage
