Project Manager, Agentic AI Platform for Scientific Research

As the Project Manager, you’ll play a central role in coordinating product development across a multidisciplinary team of ML engineers, frontend/backend developers, UX designers, and scientific advisors. You will be responsible for managing timelines, aligning milestones across sub-teams, facilitating communication, mitigating risks, and ensuring that the product roadmap is delivered effectively. You’ll work directly with leadership to ensure that our AI platform evolves in step with the needs of researchers and domain experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate strategic goals into actionable product milestones and delivery timelines.
• Maintain and update the product roadmap and sprint schedule in coordination with product and technical leads.
• Organize sprint planning, retrospectives, and standups using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Track progress across multiple parallel workstreams: agent orchestration, frontend UX, knowledge graph development, and AI tool integration.
• Identify and mitigate risks, blockers, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering, AI researchers, designers, and leadership.
• Maintain clear documentation, decision logs, and updates for internal stakeholders.
• Prepare regular progress reports and performance indicators.
• Ensure timely releases of high-quality platform features.
• Work with QA, DevOps, and design to enforce best practices in versioning, testing, and user validation.
• Monitor delivery against KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
• 4+ years of project management experience in tech or AI-focused organisations
• Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary product teams
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Proficient with project management tools (Jira, etc.).
• Strong organisational and communication skills — both verbal and written.
• Ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with machine learning, AI platforms, or scientific computing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing AI, LLM, or agent-based product development
• Familiarity with scientific research workflows and academic publishing.
• Technical literacy in data pipelines, API integration, or cloud-native development.
• Background in research support tools, SaaS for science, or knowledge management platforms.
