Job Description
Ensure quality registrations by:
- Conducting data quality audits to identify any issues with accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data within an organization’s databases (Expanse, Med2020)
- Analyze errors/ process issues and determine/ implement action to be taken
- Identifying trends and outliers in data, follow-up with end-users and managers to ensure standards of practice are managed
- Supporting organizational wide registration and admitting by developing education material & standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Performing data analysis on large volumes of data to provide insight to management
As the ERNI Coordinator:
- Ensuring ERNI data submission compliance and working with appropriate resources to resolve compliance issues in a timely manner
- Ensuring that ERNI message errors, if applicable, are resolved within the operational timeframe required and noncompliant feedback tool is completed in a timely manner
Support education for registration by:
- Designing, developing and delivering effective education and training for staff and clinicians through eLearning, tipsheets, email
Report on registration related metrics by:
- Implementing innovative reporting tools and visualizations to maximize interpretability and usage of data (ERNI Dashboard)
- Creating reports using Power BI to provides meaningful analysis, insights and presentation of data, while ensuring sound methodology and technical specifications (Admitting Transfer Report, MAC Incomplete Charts, Pending Transcribed Reporting, Return Mail)
- Support student placements from Medical Office Administration and Health Information Management programs
- Work closely with coding to address quality concerns
- Provide back up coverage for Coding Data Quality Analyst
Qualifications

- Graduate of a recognized Health Information Management Program and CHIM certified an asset
- Medical Office Administration Diploma with Medical Terminology
- Previous experience in emergency registration an asset
- Previous experience in data quality work
- Previous experience in health care setting, preferably a hospital
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially excel
- Knowledge of Canadian Institute for Health Information coding standards for NACRS and DAD
- Ability to work with key stakeholders at various levels within the organization
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
- Work independently and with minimal supervision
- Excellent attendance record
Additional Information
Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800 - 1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $39.178 to $48.973 per hour
