In Bangladesh, EGHS team wants to conduct an infectious disease surveillance mapping for better understanding of the health system organization, that reflects surveillance system, emergency response structure, surveillance dataflow, reporting system coordination and partnership. This activity will include exploration of infectious disease surveillance (event-based / community -based Surveillance, Hospital based surveillance and AMR surveillance)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • The Consultant will offer expert opinion on current infectious disease surveillance system of Bangladesh (event-based / community -based / Hospital based Surveillance and AMR Surveillance)
  • Conduct a secondary data analysis of key diseases surveillance to visualize data flow, map coverage and reporting nodes. It will include all the activities to create flowcharts showing pathways from case detection to reporting and analysis
  • Map communication and feedback loops between key stakeholders (responsible organizations) and levels of the health system and their actions
  • Develop a PPT on Key findings for sharing with technical working group (TWG) members of DGHS

 

 

Required Qualifications

Qualification & Experience

  • University degree in Public Health (MPH) with MBBS
  • At least 5 years’ experience of working with DGHS
  • Proven experience in Health System Management

Preferred Qualifications

Competencies & Skills

  • Advanced skills in research and analysis, having scientific publication will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in Health system (Surveillance) under Ministry of and Family Welfare
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bengali
