Objectives of the Position

• Design and optimize GB/S services (based on Custom, BU demands, legal requirements, M&A, investments, strategic projects etc.)
• Conduct feasibility, impact and cost analysis of prospective new services in SC Service environment
• Identify any needs for optimization/process changes and lead the implementation drive
• Ensuring that all service models and service solution designs conform to strategic, architectural, governance and other corporate requirements.

Main Tasks

• Promote a digitalization culture within the SDU and maintain awareness of the quality and efficiency impacts of AI and automation.
• Design and implement Information System(IS) tools and systems to ensure AI-supported customs processes and improve data connectivity for Foreign Trade Operations requirements.
• Support IT inquiries and AI projects related to Customs by translating business objectives into functional requirements and user stories, while also supporting the technical specifications and their evaluation.
• Design transaction processes to facilitate customs savings for the BASF Group and develop proposals to enhance the export import customs declaration process in relation to new technical solutions.
• Facilitate the consolidation of expert knowledge and encourage cross-regional collaboration in customs and foreign trade activities within supply chain operations, while also driving cross-checks on data quality and outcomes.
• Create transparency and clarity around customs data through the use of data products and AI models.
• Work closely with BEX in the expert team to identify AI improvement needs and change requirements, and initiate small measures of projects in increasing AI effectiveness for operation teams
• Identity required models, methods and tools for Service Design

Requirements

• Education: University Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or comparable professional experience in Supply Chain Operations, Customs and Foreign Trade Law as well as Import and Export.
• Minimum 3-5 years in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics area
• Technical & Professional Knowledge: SAP R/3 and SAP GTS, Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, Power App
• Strong customer focus and passion for process improvement and AI transformation
• Experience in project management
• Good communication skills. Fluent in spoken and written communication in English
• Possess analytical thinking, data science knowledge, machine learning capability, ability to provide data driven solutions and lead with key performance indicators
• Willing to learn new technologies, be a team player and proactively suggest any creative and innovative ideas.
