What you’ll do: 

 

Position title: SAP SIX CX iXp Intern – Applied AI Specialist 

Location: Palo Alto, CA - USA

Expected start date to end date: July, 2025 – Jan, 2026 

 

As an Applied AI Specialist on the SAP Industries & Experiences Customer Experience (SIX CX) Demo Build team, you will work at the intersection of AI innovation and customer experience. You will not be building AI models from scratch; instead, you will leverage a range of SAP Business AI capabilities and tools – such as SAP AI Core and SAP BTP Generative AI Hub – to design and build high-impact prototypes and product demonstrations. 

These demos are used by SAP’s presales, sales and partner teams to showcase real-world AI applications across the SAP Customer Experience (CX) portfolio, helping customers visualize the business value of SAP’s intelligent technologies. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Activating and showcasing SAP Business AI features through compelling, customer-facing demos and prototypes. 

• Creating practical, AI-enhanced extensions using SAP’s enterprise AI tools and platforms. 

• Designing intelligent workflows and AI agents that automate routine business tasks and illustrate the potential of Agentic AI. 

• Prototyping AI-powered use cases that address real business challenges and align with industry-specific scenarios. 

• Collaborating with solution experts, designers, and business stakeholders to tailor demos for maximum impact. 

This internship provides a unique opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge generative AI technologies in a business context, while contributing directly to SAP’s customer engagement and innovation strategy. 

 

What you bring:

 

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning. 

Educational Requirements: 

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 

Internship Elligibility: 

• Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program. 

Position Requirements: 

• Must be available to work full-time during the internship period. 

• Must be located in or eligible to work in the Americas region. 

Desired Skills / Experience: 

• Foundational knowledge of machine learning and generative AI concepts, including prompt engineering and LLM-based applications. 

• Proficiency in Python and experience with data science and ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch). 

• Experience using or exploring generative AI tools such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, SAP Generative AI Hub, LangChain, or similar. 

• Familiarity with cloud-based tools and environments (e.g., SAP BTP, Azure, AWS). 

• Exposure to data processing techniques and using APIs to integrate AI services into applications. 

• Good collaboration and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail. 

Preferred: 

• Prior experience with SAP platforms or solutions (e.g., S/4HANA, SAP CX). 

• Knowledge of version control systems like Git and comfort with command-line tools.

Our team is dedicated to crafting compelling, personalized customer experiences by building end-to-end demos across SAP’s solution landscape. We enable presales, sales, and trial engagements through innovative use of AI, focusing on customer journey enablement, content accelerators, and solution personalization. Our work directly helps customers de-risk investments, visualize transformation, and adopt AI-enhanced solutions with confidence.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15 - 62(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
