MarTech Data Engineer

As a Level 1 Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure. You will assist in building data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with various teams to meet data needs. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their careers in data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Data Pipelines: Assist in the creation and upkeep of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow from various sources.
• Data Quality Assurance: Perform data validation and cleansing to maintain the integrity and reliability of datasets.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, scientists, and other engineers to understand data requirements and deliver relevant datasets.
• Documentation: Document data processes, pipelines, and best practices for knowledge sharing within the team.
• Monitoring: Help monitor data systems for performance issues and assist in troubleshooting when necessary.
• Learning and Development: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Programming Skills: Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
• Familiarity with Data Technologies: Understanding of database management systems and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret data trends and patterns.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
