What you need to know about the role

  • The Martech Data Product Manager role resides in CTO (Chief Technology Office) organization within the Enterprise Systems & Employee Technology (TPX) team that enables platform experiences for our workforce to engage the consumers and merchants.  

  • In this role, you will help shape the future of customer-centric marketing by building and scaling a 360-degree view of the customer using Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Real-Time CDP 

  • As the Martech Data Product Manager, you will enable seamless integration, activation, and optimization of customer data, empowering marketing teams to deliver personalized experiences across multiple channels.

  • The Martech team is responsible for the platforms and experiences that drive PayPal Lifecycle Marketing Communication activities touching millions of customers worldwide. The team is on a transformational journey to consolidate and operationalize disparate tools onto an ecosystem that effectively supports Data, Decisioning, Omni-channel Delivery and Measurement capabilities.   

  • We are responsible for ideation, technology assessment, and adhering to Agile Development methodologies from Intake to Deployment for all marketing needs.  

Your way to impact

  • As a Data Product Manager for Marketing Technology, you will drive strategy & roadmap and own the 360 view of the customer that will be used to drive B2B & B2C marketing experiences 

  • By leveraging your expertise in Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), you will transform raw data into actionable insights that drive business success and customer satisfaction. 

  • As the owner of the Marketing Customer Profile, you will champion data quality, adherence to governance standards, and innovative integrations that unlock possibilities for personalized marketing. 

Your day-to-day

  • Customer Data Integration: Partner with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage customer data workflows within the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Real-Time CDP 

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data enablement strategies. 

  • Data Mapping & Transformation: Analyze data sets, define mapping and transformation logic, and ensure seamless ingestion and enrichment processes in AEP. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the bridge between marketing, IT, and analytics teams, ensuring alignment of data strategies with business priorities and technical feasibility. 

  • Data Governance & Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards. 

  • Testing & Validation: Collaborate with QA teams to create robust test cases and validate data integrations for optimal functionality and performance. 

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for workflows, data dictionaries, entity relationships, and integration processes. 

What do you need to bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field. 

  • At least 5 years of experience as Product Manager, Data Product Owner, or a Business Analyst focusing on customer data, Martech, or data platforms. 

  • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), preferably Adobe Experience Platform and Real-Time CDP, and a solid understanding of data integration processes. 

  • Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and digital marketing technologies. 

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 

  • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical concepts with business insights for stakeholders of varying expertise levels. 

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. 

  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for managing customer data. 

  • Bonus: Experience with agile methodologies, project management, and industry-specific trends in marketing and data governance. 

Note - This position is hybrid based out of Austin, TX. All candidates must reside in the Austin Metro area to be considered. PayPal is not offering relocation at this time.
