As Data Management Expert in the CDO Office team, you will support the Lead CDO Office, and be responsible for designing and driving the CTO data management strategy [covering governance, definitions, policies and processes, quality, Organisational structure, architecture, privacy, security, and sustained awareness] and aligning it with the global CDO safeguarding data and ensuring its quality, making sure it remains trusted [complete, accurate, consistent, and appropriate]

The purpose of the COO Tech domain is to elevate transparency and control over which IT products and services are delivered and consumed throughout ING in a standardized manner, leading to faster, more cost-efficient, and increased usage of our growing technology platform.

 

The top structure of COO Tech consists of four subdepartments, with several teams operating under their leadership:

1] CTO Development & Support

2] Change & Transformation

3] Product & Service Management

4] Reporting & Insights [CDO]

You report hierarchically into the Lead CDO Office.

 

Roles and responsibilities

The Reporting & Insights [CDO] is responsible:

  • To set the CTO data management strategy in particularly for the data factory and the reporting framework

  • Ensuring compliance with data standards and maintaining the quality of CTO-owned data

  • To drive and ease data consumption for the CTO environment

  • To grow data literacy throughout CTO

 

As Data Management Expert in the CDO Office team, you will support the Lead CDO Office, and be responsible for:

  • Designing and driving the CTO data management strategy [covering governance, definitions, policies and processes, quality, Organisational structure, architecture, privacy, security, and sustained awareness] and aligning it with the global CDO

  • Safeguarding data and ensuring its quality, making sure it remains trusted [complete, accurate, consistent, and appropriate]

We are looking for a team member with the following knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum 5-10 years’ relevant professional experience required

  • Strong background in data management and deep understanding of the Tech landscape

  • Proven expertise in managing and organizing large and complex datasets, ensuring consistent data integrity and quality

  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices for data privacy and security

  • Ability to design and enforce data management policies, maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company standards

  • Strong analytical mindset

  • Organisational sensitive with the ability to build trust with senior leadership

  • A naturally collaborative person, who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals and at the same time pushes, where needed, to achieve results

  • Excellent level of English, communication, and presentation skill

  • Master’s degree and relevant certifications
