What you will be doing
As our experienced Data Analyst in Group Finance, you will be bridging the business with technology and play a crucial role in business optimisation by improving the use of automated processes and systems in ROCKWOOL.
You will leverage your expertise from business finance to analyse complex data sets, generate actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making and reporting to management.
You will be part of a small Group Business Controlling team, working at our international ROCKWOOL Headquarter in Hedehusene. Group Business Controlling is responsible for the Group's financial planning and analytical processes, and support to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and improve financial models for planning and business follow-up, making complex situations simple to manage
Specify and drive the business operating model requirements in relation to the consolidation process for P&L, balance sheet and cash flow for actual and forecast
Project lead for defining business requirements and value drivers, in the planning and reporting processes and activities, as input to new best of breed technical solutions, including implementation support
Transition of financial models from Excel to increase the use of automated processes, systems and use of AI, and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data analysis technologies
Support scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis by transforming data into meaningful insights to assess the impact of various financial and business strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and inputs for financial planning and reporting models
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects when needed
Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures including maintaining and managing datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency and accessibility for all relevant partners
What you bring
At least 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, with experience in business finance from a multinational Group and a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, data science or a related field.
Strong knowledge within consolidation, reporting, and planning processes and tools with a solid toolbox in finance aspects such as P&L items, and good knowledge on balance sheet and cash flow.
Experience with visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI), and curious in how AI can be applied in Business Controlling and Finance.
Excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving skills including attention to details.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present data findings to the business.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on addressing business challenges through data-driven insights
