Position Summary
Material is looking to bring on a Senior Associate to join our Digital Analytics practice to support online media analysis and brand marketing accounts. Senior Associates at Material have extensive BI and SaaS platform expertise and deep understanding of how digital marketing impacts business outcomes. The analyst will be tasked with working collaboratively across key disciplines at Material to proactively provide insights and oversight to guide campaign optimization through dashboards, reporting, and planning sessions.
Core Responsibilities Include: The ideal candidate has a background in the setup, execution, and management of measurement and client reporting for online ad campaigns, in order to meet rigorous performance goals, while also possessing the ability to assess data quality, to stay organized with ad-hoc inquiries and deadlines, and to be a great cultural addition to our team.
Leverage various datasets to create both automated BI solutions and manual reporting with visualizations and detail that deliver actionable feedback for decision-making.
Monitor and evaluate online media performance to drive continuous improvements in KPIs and to increase scale through efficient media + creative selection and allocation.
Deliver tracking, analysis, and translation of customer journey data across the lead funnel through provision of clear and versatile reporting and predictive intelligence from cloud enterprise systems. Present findings in an articulate way to diverse audiences.
Support development of measurement and strategy frameworks by synthesizing client marketing objectives and goals against plan tactics and metrics.
Collaborate with team members to build client relationships and to deliver complex results and presentations with sufficient context and recommendations for improvement.
Prioritize and respond to ad-hoc requests for analysis and structured data from stakeholders quickly and accurately.
Assist with managing data operations and analytics implementations to identify data collection opportunities and issues, including ETL/ELT, tag management systems, quality assurance, 3rd party pixels, UTM parameters, and technical documentation through collaboration with developers.
Stay current on industry best practices to be able to formulate and execute point-of-view documentation.
The Ideal Candidate:
3-4 years of relevant experience in a dedicated digital analytics role, preferably agency-side.
Experience supporting online media and social marketing programs for improvements in KPIs and secondary metrics, increasing scale through efficient media + creative selection and allocation, and program data enhancement through audience targeting. Proficiency with 3rd-party ad server technologies (Campaign Manager 360) is a requirement.
Preferred hands-on experience with multi-touch attribution, cross-channel engagement and offline data integration.
Assess and build insights around social media data across multiple sources, both through native platforms and from social media management tools
Advanced competencies with BI data visualization and data preparation tools is a requirement (preferable Tableau, Looker/Data Studio, Power Bi, DOMO).
Ability to operate and prioritize work streams for 2 to 3 stakeholders and departments in different geographies.
Ability to support teams with their analytical and technical competencies across:
Growth Marketing - Versatile results-driven performance analysis of direct response and brand efforts, inclusive of Display, SEM/SEO, Social, Programmatic, OTT, Offline (OOH, TV & Radio).
Automation - Maintenance and enhancement of I/O and ETL automations in pre-established data models for data preparation. Strong working knowledge with Alteryx a plus.
Business Intelligence - Transform queries for structured data in SaaS platforms into data visualizations and online portals in support of performance monitoring and goal tracking for marketing programs and strategic planning.
Vertical and lateral problem solving - Solution-oriented critical thinking with the ability to translate data and research into observations and insights and derive relevant recommendations.
Bonus:
Technical competencies in client-side and server-side data collection, tag management solutions, and governance across data systems. Preferred experience with Google Tag Manager or Tealium.
Proficiency with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, etc.).

Pay Range: $75,000.00 – $92,000.00
The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
