The successful candidate will contribute to the development and application of advanced modeling and analytical tools to shape the future of energy systems. You will work closely with engineers, researchers, consultants and other stakeholders across the organization to address future system challenges and technology requirements for achieving carbon neutrality while ensuring resilient, reliable and affordable energy supply across regions under diverse scenarios and conditions.

Shape the Future of Energy: Develop and analyze forward-looking energy system scenarios that reflect technological innovation, policy evolution, and societal trends across global regions.
Model Tomorrow’s Grid: Contribute to cutting-edge capacity expansion models using advanced optimization techniques to design resilient, multi-energy systems.
Engineer Flexibility: Simulate and integrate flexible grid components—like power electronics and grid-forming controls—into planning tools for next-gen energy systems.

Your background
Academic Excellence: Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Energy Science, or a related field, with a strong foundation in power systems and optimization.
Optimization Guru: Deep expertise in linear, nonlinear, integer, and stochastic programming, with a passion for applying these techniques to real-world energy challenges.
AI & ML Savvy: Proficient in machine learning methods—regression, classification, clustering, time-series, deep learning, and reinforcement learning—using modern tools and frameworks.
Algorithm Architect: Proven experience developing optimization algorithms for power system planning using tools like Python, MATLAB, and Gurobi.
Power System Pro: Skilled in modeling and simulating power systems, with experience integrating APIs and tools for optimal system planning.
Control & Electronics Expert: Hands-on experience with power electronics and grid-forming control systems, including RMS and EMT simulations.
Data-Driven Thinker: Strong analytical skills with Python libraries like Pandas, GeoPandas, Plotly, and JSONPickle to interpret complex datasets.
Team Player & Communicator: Excellent problem-solving skills, collaborative mindset, and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to a diverse audience.
