Information Technology Intern - Junior

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under close supervision, performs Information Technology (IT) related assignments as part of SAP development team. This may include learning and using various Information Technology software packages like SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, Python Scripting for Machine Learning etc, to assist development team and designers in preparing a variety of analytical reporting or other project tasks.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. As appropriate, learn software packages and assist senior IT staff in project tasks. 

2. May assist IT staff in a test environment or proof of concept project for the purpose of confirming software performance to specifications.
3. May learn to interpret test results, to modify code or configuration to overcome issues with the results.
4. May assist in process development of new programs.

5. May assist IT staff in the preparation of specifications, estimates or reports needed to manage a program through deployment.
6. May learn the basic methods of effective program management.
7. May assist in keeping Information Technology records.

8. May assist in ongoing division programs or initiatives as needed. 

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Successful completion of the Junior year an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Computer Science or related field required. 

EXPERIENCE: Ability to perform the above functions. Prior work assignments in related activities preferred. 

OTHER SKILLS: Knowledge of Microsoft office products or any analytical reporting solution experience is preferred.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

COMMUNICATIONS: Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels. Must be able to participate in team projects. Must be able to express oneself clearly in reports and documentation

SCHEDULING AND PLANNING: Must be able to work to the schedule described in the project plan.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Telephone, personal computer/work station.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work will be performed primarily in an office environment (remotely or in the office).
