Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our data-driven team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-related activities within our institution. You will collaborate with multiple department leaders to collect, analyze, and present data insights that inform decision-making to drive improvements in advertising, student recruitment, student retention, academic performance, compliance, financial optimization, and more. 


 Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and report on data from multiple sources to translate complex data into usable information for management team decision-makers
  • Perform data cleaning and data transformation as necessary to ensure accurate information is ready for analysis
  • Follow institutional data management protocols to ensure data and reports are accurate, secured, and distributed according to institutional policies
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies to assist with maintaining data quality. Collaborate with employees and department leaders to facilitate data entry resolutions
  • Support historical data migration between multiple data sources to ensure an accurate and centralized repository student information
  • Automate data collection and reporting processes using SQL, Python, R, or related technologies
  • Collaborate with CIAT developers to automate third-party data collection into internal reports
  • Using Power BI, or Excel, or related tools, create user-friendly and informative charts, graphs, dashboards, and presentations to share data insights to department leaders
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to support department leaders measuring and monitoring KPIs. Ensure reports are accurate and delivered on time
  • Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate closely with CIAT management team to analyze business operations, support goal setting, and communicate impacts on operational trends
  • Monitor the impacts of CIAT policy changes on student enrollment, student retention, student survey feedback, and student performance
  • Deploys complex data analysis frameworks to support accreditation, financial aid, and accounting compliance initiatives with minimal oversight
  • Applies independent judgment in selecting analytics approaches, integrating data from CIAT’s SIS, LMS, and third-party data sources to inform leadership decision-making
  • Acts as primary point of contact for data partners and third-party platforms to support, troubleshoot, and maintain data integration initiatives
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis. Continuously expand your knowledge and skills in data analytics techniques and tools
  • Adhere to CIAT’s compliance requirements to ensure all Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional policies and procedures are being met
  • Follow communication guidelines to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and professionalism

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related industry experience 
  • Industry certifications in PowerBI, Tableau, or related platform preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of business experience collecting and analyzing data, building reports, or designing dashboards
  • Minimum of 2 year of managing and extracting data within CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL or Python for data extraction and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with data
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new data analysis tools and methodologies
  • Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information and interact with students, colleagues, and others
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; dedicated to quality, quantity, results and timeliness
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem resolution skills and general business acumen
  • Proficient skills in MS Office software products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project and ability to learn additional software products
  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, academic departments, and administration to support student success, achieve institutional goals and contribute to a positive and inclusive culture
  • Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours to accommodate business needs and deadlines
  • Flexible working longer hours to meet deadlines, if needed
  • Able to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality
  • Possess high ethical standards, being an example of professionalism to others

 Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required.

 

Supervisory Responsibility 

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Essential functions of this role require sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to type, use a computer to search for information and input information while speaking on the phone is required
  • The employee will frequently be required to use the computer, mouse and telephone to conduct the regular tasks of this role
  • The employee will be required to compute simple to simple mathematical calculations as a normal part of this role
  • Requires daily use of a company computer and related software applications at a workstation  

Work Environment

While performing the responsibilities of this remote position, the job holder will work in a home office environment. Salary Range

The salary range for the Data Analyst  is $75,000-$100,000 yearly/DOE. However, the expected starting salary for this position is $75,000-$85,000 yearly/DOE. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, experience, equity and other business and organizational needs.
