Full Stack UI Developer

We are currently looking for a Full Stack UI Developer to join one of the M+C Saatchi Group's specialist divisions, M+C Saatchi World Services. This division partners with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, to work on the critical issues of our time, including the climate emergency, national security, social justice, conflict prevention, and sustainable development. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards conflict affected or developing countries.

This full-time role could be based out of our DC or New York office on a hybrid basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced Full Stack UI Developer to design, develop, and implement client-facing user interfaces for our advanced machine learning models. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces for complex ML models
• Implement robust security measures, including 2FA, for client-facing applications
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand and visualize complex data sets
• Establish and enforce UI best practices and coding standards
• Work within an AWS ecosystem, leveraging cloud services for scalable applications
• Develop and maintain Python-based back-end services
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Integrate Okta for secure 2FA implementation in client-facing applications

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with a focus on creating secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in full stack development
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
• Proven experience working with AWS PostgreSQL RDS, including database design, optimization, and management
• Experience with AWS services and cloud architecture
• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and data visualization techniques
• Experience implementing security best practices, including 2FA
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with data science teams and ML models
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles
• Experience with other AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and S3
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Technical Skills:

• Languages: Python, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
• Frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js (at least one required)
• Backend: Django or Flask
• Database: AWS PostgreSQL RDS, experience with other RDS offerings is a plus
• Cloud: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Authentication: Okta, understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
• Version Control: Git
• CI/CD: Experience with AWS CodePipeline or similar tools
