We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strategic Buyer and Data Analyst to join our division. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on local sourcing and supplier base development, contract/agreements management, and quality assurance. This role requires deep expertise in strategic sourcing, data analysis, vendor management, and contract negotiation to ensure the best value and quality for our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement category strategic sourcing plans to meet organizational goals and large-scale saving initiatives.
Executes supplier selection along strategy, requirements, supplier base development, and identification of new suppliers.
Identify and develop relationships with local suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain. Conduct market research to find the best local sources and evaluate their capabilities and performance.
Runs negotiations, manages RFQs, awarding decisions and follow-up with suppliers, takes awarding decisions in line with category strategy.
Draft, negotiate, and manage master agreements with suppliers in line with strategy and business needs. Ensure all agreements are up-to-date, compliant with regulations, and reflect the best terms for the organization.
Adapts and implements catalogues and framework contracts on Divisional/ regional level in compliance with guidelines.
Implement and maintain quality standards for all purchased goods and services. Perform regular quality audits and work closely with suppliers to address any issues and improve performance. Monitors and communicates performance of suppliers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Direct involvement in and solving of issues with suppliers (e.g., quality, delivery and service issues), etc.
Prepare detailed reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and pricing trends. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procurement activities.
Conduct thorough data analysis to ensure cost development and competitive pricing. Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to make informed decisions.
Strives for automation and digitalization practices and tool improvement
Ensures cost, availability, innovation, and quality within the sourcing plan creation and execution
Ensures compliance with the procurement process, policies and other statutory requirements within category
Accountable for achieving agreed KPIs and their reporting
Experience preferred in food processing and packaging industry
Your Profile / Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years' experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or price and data analysis, preferably Senior role.
Strong understanding of local sourcing, contract negotiation, and quality assurance practices
Proven record of managing supplier relationships and achieving cost savings
Procurement or Supply chain Certification (optional)
Know-how of international contract management
Cost analysis and management
Experience with implementation of corporate procurement
Work experience in complex organizations
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $86,800 - $124,663 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
