Senior Reinforcement Learning Engineer – Application & Robotics Focus (m/w/d)

Your mission

• Build, train and refine RL-based agents for real-world use (navigation, coordination, decision making)
• Collaborate with embedded teams to deploy models onto drones and other platforms
• Integrate perception, control and reward models into closed-loop systems
• Contribute to fast iteration loops based on field tests and real sensor data
• Work with simulation environments to validate strategies before deployment

Your profile

• Strong background in Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning or Control Theory
• Hands-on experience with at least one RL framework (Ray RLlib, Stable Baselines, etc.)
• Understanding of system dynamics, robotics basics, or embedded deployment
• Python proficiency – C++ or ROS2 experience is a plus
• Curiosity, pragmatism, and readiness to make things work in imperfect real-world settings

• Experience with SLAM, path planning, multi-agent coordination, or sensor fusion
