Sr Engineer

About our group:

Drive Cleanroom Process Engineer responsible for process monitoring/control HDD assembly and teardown process performance by using engineering knowledge including Six Sigma and Lean to enable multiple skills in data analysis, problem-solving and solution to deliver committed goal metrics which are aligned to company goals also works closely with the related functions to solve HDD assembly problems, improving assembly yield and product quality and reliability that relates to assembly area.

About the role - you will:

· Lead critical products for Drive Assembly yield improvement including improving product CERT yield, Quality and Reliability that related to assembly process.

· Collaborate with cross-functional team to assist and/or initiate any drive assembly process, generate process improvement ideas, strongly participate in design concept, input on manufacturability and process feasibility.

· Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.

· Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs, increase yield, and improve quality.

· Routine monitoring and perform data analysis by using Seagate’s tools for problem solving, root cause analysis, defining actions to prevent problems.

· Develop, provide and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process flow.

· Provide training and technical support to Process Engineers/Technicians on process-related topics.

About you:

· Organization, ability to manage and support multiple projects

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across functional teams

· Good communication and presentation skills in English

· Knowledge of drive assembly process, control systems and statistical process control techniques

· Able to lead and coach team members

Your experience includes:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering are preferable)

· Microsoft Office, computer programming (C and Python)

· Product and/or project management

· Basic or advanced knowledge of drive assembly process

· Data analysis skills

· Advanced data science, AI and Machine Learning
