What you'll do in the role:
- Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
- Design, develop, and optimize complex data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Architect and implement large-scale data ecosystems and analytics platforms.
- Drive innovation in data engineering by exploring new tools and techniques.
- Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval for performance and cost efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional teams in solving complex data problems and challenges.
- Act as a subject matter expert in data architecture and engineering domains.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and drive data strategy.
- Contribute to the development of the data engineering roadmap and vision.
- Manage a team of data engineering professionals, including hiring and performance management.

What you'll bring to the role:
- Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
- Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in designing, building, implementing and optimizing complex data pipelines and architectures.
- Proficiency in database and data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and IBM DB2.
- Proficiency in data engineering tooling like Airflow, DBT, and Informatica.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, data cleaning, and data transformation techniques.
- Proven ability to oversee end-to-end data processes from ingestion to consumption.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring junior team members.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrated success in aligning data strategies with business objectives.
- Effective communication with stakeholders to help define project requirements and priorities.
- At least 7 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
