Department profile:
Morgan Stanley Investment Management Technology exclusively partners with the Morgan Stanley Investment Management business division to design and develop systems and integrate vendor products to globally support full life cycle business processing. Activities include Portfolio Analysis, Risk, Trading, Operations, and Sales & Marketing. Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) Technology also provides holistic support and quality assurance across the suite of applications used in the MSIM environment.







Position Overview:
Morgan Stanley Investment Management is one of the largest asset managers in the world. It offers a wide range of products and services, including a large family of domestic and international Equity, Fixed and Multi-asset class funds for individual and institutional investors. Comprehensive suite of investment strategies are designed to help meet the diverse needs of institutional investors throughout the world.
The position is for a full stack developer within the Data Strategy team at MSIM. The candidate is expected to work on projects and platform that help drive data driven decision making and generate insights for Investment professionals. The Right Candidate





Required Experience: 3-8 years
Skill Set: Scala / Python / Data Engineering / Spark

> Primary skills
Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit is required in addition to proficiency in verbal and written business communications. We support what we build - individual will be responsible for post-production support on a rotation basis.

Experience with Scala / Python /Spark
Expert-level core Python knowledge in a UNIX/Linux environment; minimum 3 years
Experience developing & designing complex, data-driven systems in Python, ideally with a Web / HTML5 component
Expertise with Python and UI components used in a production environment
Experience with automated testing frameworks
Strong enthusiasm for code quality, and desire to build long-standing and stable systems
Strong communication skills, both technical and otherwise, that can be leveraged to collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders
Numpy / pandas / Plotly / Flask/ Jupyter/Backtesting libraries and general data science stack
Experience thorough understanding of programming fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures and Algorithm Design

Experience with Azure ADF, Databricks, Enterprise Dash
Experience with Spark, Spark Streaming, Kafka, MLLib
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
