Our data comes from various sources, including Segment, Braze, and other internal systems. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on data governance and compliance to ensure that our data is clean, well-structured, and compliant with privacy regulations.

  • Our strategic leader, who is responsible for aligning the company's strategies with our team's priorities through her knowledge and vision of the business.

  • The technical data leader, responsible for sizing the team, defining work dynamics to improve deliveries, looking after the career development of team members and defining data project roadmaps.

  • Data engineers, who help us integrate any new source into our Data Lake and structure our Data Warehouse.

  • Analytics engineers, who master our PowerBI dashboards, grow our Data Warehouse with data quality, applying all the business logic to our raw data.

  • Web Data Analysts, who focus on front-end analysis and empower marketing and product teams with data, creating the entire structure that allows us to track and understand user behaviour.

  • Data analysts, responsible for transforming the company's data and metrics into valuable insights and business knowledge to improve performance and drive strategic actions and decisions.

The role - your passion

  • Own and evolve our approach to data reliability with automated testing, versioned data models, and end-to-end lineage tracking

  • Lead the implementation of robust data governance policies to ensure consistency, quality, and integrity across our CDP and CEP platforms (e.g., Segment, Braze)

  • Drive automation of data validation and quality checks, including schema validation and integrity monitoring

  • Define and track key data quality metrics, and proactively identify areas for improvement in data health and structure

  • Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), including ownership of consent tracking and data anonymization workflows

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to standardize data definitions, naming conventions, and ownership practices

  • Build and maintain automated processes for data cleanup and transformation, ensuring downstream data is analytics-ready

  • Support the analytics and product teams by structuring and optimizing data for reliable reporting and experimentation

What you need to surf the wave with us

  • Several years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and quality management

  • Hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and Customer Engagement Platforms (CEPs) such as Segment or Braze

  • Strong understanding of data transformation workflows and orchestration tools (e.g., dbt, Apache Airflow, Prefect)

  • Proven ability to design and maintain scalable data validation and monitoring systems

  • Deep knowledge of data privacy regulations and experience implementing compliance measures (consent tracking, anonymization, auditing)

  • Familiarity with concepts like data lineage, ownership, naming conventions, and documentation

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills: able to align stakeholders across functions and guide best practices

  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have:

  • Experience maintaining compliance documentation and performing data audits

  • Background in analytics infrastructure and supporting data for experimentation or personalization use cases
