Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Associate Software Engineer in Cupertino, CA.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Associate Software Engineer will analyze, design, test, develop and maintain software products and tools. The position will: Write code using Python to leverage APIs to gather data; Design micro-service architecture using Java, Spring, GCP; Create optimal technical design adhering to architectural best practices and taking into account scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs; Write APIs that enable business tools to access, query, and analyze data; Apply the Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps using Kubernetes and Jenkins principles to produce software artifacts; Analyze and optimize query efficiency using open source software tools and prepare data dashboards; Create shell scripts to automate network bandwidth control, maintain space efficiency and check optimal metric usage for servers; and Conduct code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and ensure compliance with development procedures. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires at least a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering plus experience as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist or related.
Required Skills/Experience:
Requires at least a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering plus experience as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist or related. Must possess experience with all of the following skills: (a) Working in an Agile software development environment; (b) coding in Python; (c) developing machine learning algorithms, including using Pytorch and Scikit-Learn; (d) working with artificial intelligence related to Chatbots; (e) using Kubernetes to automate software deployment, scaling, and management; (f) using JIRA to plan projects, code, track bug and defects, and release software; and (g) utilizing all of the following: Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Eclipse, Rest APIs, and Windows and Linux operating systems. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $133,887 - $135,500. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
