As an Applied Scientist, you will lead a cross-functional team of scientists, engineers, and product managers who build Tali’s core AI engine. We understand that building real-world solutions with AI is both an experimental discipline and an engineering challenge.

What You’ll Do

  • Experiment and iterate on LLM solutions with a high level of rigor to solve user problems and achieve business goals.
  • Design and implement the end-to-end lifecycle of solutions from experimentation, to production, and monitoring.
  • Design and implement online and offline evaluation metrics for ML solutions in production.
  • Partner with engineers and product managers to deeply understand user problems and translate them into problems to solve, production systems to build.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI/ML, and take calculated risks in transforming innovative ideas into productionized solutions.
  • Lead and mentor data scientists in your domain, providing technical guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Contribute to data science strategy and align it with Tali’s business, product and tech strategy. 

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry experience building and shipping ML systems in production.
  • A strong foundation in programming, statistics, NLP, and LLMs.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, training, and evaluating LLM solutions.
  • Proven track record of building and shipping ML systems that have effectively solved ambiguous business problems.
