System Engineering Lead

About the Team: 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. In this leadership role, you will drive the design, implementation, and management of our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure highly available, scalable, and secure systems. Also, there will be line management of engineers and help them develop and evolve, resource and roadmap planning and stakeholder engagement across multi-disciplinary teams 

About the Role: 

This role is for an existing TIO Lead engineer.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes. 

  • Architect, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar) leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible. 

  • Mentor and guide a team of DevOps engineers, fostering best practices in automation, monitoring, and security. 

  • Collaborate with software engineering and QA teams to facilitate seamless integration and deployment workflows. 

  • Manage sprint ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and delivery. 

  • Plan and prioritize requirements and tasks in alignment with project goals and timelines. 

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness 

  • Define and enforce security best practices in deployment pipelines and cloud environments. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new tools and technologies. 

  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and systems. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure in an enterprise environment with at least 2 years in a leadership position. 

  • Strong expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub actions 

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS). 

  • Highly proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible,) 

  • Solid scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. 

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). 

  • Experience with networking technologies 

  • In-depth knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (New Relic, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.). 

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. 

  • Comfortable presenting and communicating ideas to key stakeholders and engineers alike 

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar. 

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. 

  • Familiarity with security compliance and governance standards
