What You Will Do:

This Data Scientist role will support a business office in the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Source Corporate Operations and Technology (SFC) team with data visualization, business analytics, data management, and developing data-centric solutions. A strong understanding of business analytics and coordinating across stakeholders is essential to helping SFC manage corporate standards for Source Foundation GEOINT activities.  This role will be co-located with the SFC team on client site and requires excellent communication skills to frequently participate in meetings on status updates and visualization or digital engineering initiatives. Seeking a candidate with the ability to proactively identify data needs and process improvements to help the office mature its visualizations and business analytics in line with technology/data solutions advancement. Specific duties will include:

• Apply extensive knowledge to integrate, develop, and maintain analytic models, visualizations, and tools to evaluate, analyze and communicate internal/external user behavior and overarching enterprise or portfolio performance.
• Provide statistical and mathematical support in assisting in the analysis and interpretation of a wide range of data to help understand and improve the customer's experience.
• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboard visualizations to address business questions and catered to specific audience groups.
• Leverage a range of data sources for an understanding of overall program performance.
• Interact and liaise with analysts; routinely translate analytical requirements and transform them into data formats to allow for use and the application of new emerging analytical methodologies.
• Interpret, manage, and merge large volumes of rich data sources.
• Design, develop, program, and test applications within and amongst information systems.

What You Will Need:

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance; must UPGRADE and MAINTAIN a TS/SCI with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph within 30 days of start
• Minimum of FOUR (4) years of working experience in supporting data analytics/science
• Demonstrated experience developing visualizations or the analyses of data
• Demonstrated experience developing dashboards in Tableau
• Demonstrated experience utilizing computer programs, software, or a variety of coding languages
• Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with various partners, stakeholders, or customers

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Demonstrated experience with data collection, conditioning, and wrangling
• Demonstrated experience with SharePoint content management, lists, and forms
• Demonstrated experience developing complex Nintex workflows
• Demonstrated understanding of statistics
• Knowledge and experience with database creation and management
• Demonstrated experiences with coding languages, specifically Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, Java, R and JavaScript
• Effective oral and written communications skills
