Merchandising Data Governance Analyst

What will you do? 

A day in the life of a Merchandising Data Governance Analyst at The North Face looks a little like this. 

The Merchandising Data Governance Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Product Data Governance, across all product groups at The North Face. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Data Governance and will work extensively cross functionally among many teams and regions. Additionally, this position provides support to the Product Creation team to analyze data, maximize efficiency and accuracy in the end-to-end product data lifecycle across multiple product engines.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. 

  • Maintains and manages the daily activities to ensure product data integrity. Thoroughly communicates necessary details to teams globally to achieve calendar milestone objectives.
  • Thoroughly communicates necessary details to extensive cross functional teams globally to achieve calendar milestone objectives. Liaises with product teams, GCS and downstream recipients to ensure data is accurate to achieve success.
  • Conducts audits and enforces data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, logic, and compliance.
  • Become a SME in all TNF Product Attributes and support onboarding training cross functionally.
  • Build rapport and understand cross functional teams’ roles, needs, and limitations to best influence and establish data best practices to a non-data audience.
  • Support and expand the global process to align, communicate, track and reduce the Late Adds and Changes to the Product Lines. Create post analyses to guide incremental seasonal improvement opportunities.
  • Supports manager with special projects and ad-hoc GTM development opportunities.

What do you need to succeed? 

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education (Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline) is great to have, we are most interested in your 2+ years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are: 

  • Self-driven and highly motivated with a strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Proven advanced Excel skills, specifically understanding and building complex formulae
  • Strong statistical, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an efficient manner
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and build positive relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English
  • Office suite (Office 365) experience required

Hiring Range:

$57,888.00 USD - $72,360.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
